WhatsApp Privacy Through BizwaChat
This WhatsApp Privacy Policy describes how BizwaChat handles WhatsApp-related data and communications when you use our platform to manage your WhatsApp Business Account. BizwaChat acts as a middleware interface to your WhatsApp Business API, and we are committed to protecting your message data and ensuring compliance with Meta's policies.
Important: This policy complements our main Privacy Policy and focuses specifically on WhatsApp-related data handling.
What WhatsApp Data We Collect
1 Message Content & Conversations
When you use BizwaChat to send and receive WhatsApp messages, we store and process:
- • Full text of messages and media (images, videos, documents)
- • Sender and recipient phone numbers
- • Timestamps and delivery status
- • Read receipts and conversation metadata
2 Contact Information
We store contact details that are part of your WhatsApp communications:
- • Customer phone numbers and names
- • Display names and profile pictures (if shared)
- • Customer information from integrated CRM systems
3 Business Account Credentials
To provide the Service, we require:
- • WhatsApp Business Account ID
- • WhatsApp API access tokens and credentials
- • Phone number of your WhatsApp Business Account
How We Handle Your WhatsApp Data
Storage & Processing
- ✓ Local Storage: Messages are stored in the BizwaChat database (hosted on secure cloud infrastructure)
- ✓ Metadata Tracking: We track delivery status, read receipts, and conversation history for service improvement
- ✓ Backup & Recovery: Messages are backed up for disaster recovery and data integrity
- ✓ API Sync: All messages are synchronized with Meta's WhatsApp Business API
Data Retention
We retain WhatsApp message data according to the following schedule:
- • Active Accounts: Messages retained indefinitely while your subscription is active
- • Cancelled Accounts: Data retained for 30 days after account cancellation, then permanently deleted
- • Deleted Messages: User-deleted messages are removed from the BizwaChat interface but archived for compliance
Data Portability
You can export your WhatsApp message history and customer data from BizwaChat at any time through the Settings interface. All data will be provided in standard formats compatible with other platforms.
Message Security & Encryption
End-to-End Protection
WhatsApp E2EE
All messages sent through WhatsApp Business API are protected by WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption. BizwaChat does not decrypt or access message content in transit.
In-Transit Security
All data transmitted between BizwaChat and Meta's WhatsApp API is encrypted using TLS 1.2+
At-Rest Security
Messages stored in BizwaChat's database are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
Access Controls
Only authenticated users with appropriate permissions can access stored messages
⚠ Important: Local Backup Responsibility
While BizwaChat implements industry-standard security, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical business conversations. We recommend exporting important customer conversations regularly, especially for mission-critical communications.
Meta Integration & Compliance
Meta's Data Processing
As a middleware to Meta's WhatsApp Business API, BizwaChat:
- • Transmits all messages through Meta's infrastructure
- • Complies with Meta's Platform Business Tools Terms
- • Respects Meta's policies on message content and usage patterns
- • Implements Meta's anti-spam and anti-abuse measures

Account Suspension & Compliance
BizwaChat reserves the right to suspend your account if we detect violations of Meta's WhatsApp Business API policies, including but not limited to: spam messaging, harassment, phishing, sharing of malware, or any activity that violates WhatsApp's terms. Such violations may also result in permanent suspension by Meta itself.

Important Disclaimers
Not End-to-End Encrypted in BizwaChat
While WhatsApp protects messages in transit with E2EE, messages stored in BizwaChat's database are not end-to-end encrypted from BizwaChat's perspective. They are encrypted at-rest using standard AES-256 encryption. If you require true E2EE storage, only use WhatsApp's official app or client.
Service Availability
BizwaChat is provided "as-is." While we maintain high uptime standards, we do not guarantee 100% availability. Critical business communications should not rely solely on our platform.
Compliance Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring your use of BizwaChat and WhatsApp complies with applicable laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific regulations. BizwaChat provides the tools; compliance is your responsibility.
